Campus network monitoring workshop

CESNET as a member of the GN3 (GÉANT) project together with other partners from the activity NA3/Task 4 Campus Best Practice organised a workshop focused on Campus Monitoring. Motto of the event is:

Monitoring as one of basic fundaments for increasing network stability, reliability and security

The two-day workshop took place at the Hotel Continental, Brno (the Czech Republic) on April 24–25, 2012. Participants discussed common practices in monitoring and shared the experiences with using different tools and processes. The workshop consisted of several sessions dedicated to: general aspects of campus/LAN monitoring, detection of problematic traffic, monitoring of IPv6, monitoring of multimedia traffic, and experience in real-world network monitoring.
