Venue and logistics

The conference venue was

Faculty of Electrical Engineering
Czech Technical University of Prague
Technická 2
Prague
Czech Republic

It is located in the campus of the Czech Technical University in Dejvice district, very close to Metro and other public transportation means. All the necessary infrastructure is available including conference and terminal rooms with Wi-Fi connectivity, demonstration area, and catering.

How to get there

[the map]

The campus location is really suitable. There is a direct bus connection which brings you from/to the airport in less than 30 minutes. See the map and instructions on Google Maps.

From the airport:

Bus no. 119 (stop is in the middle of the car park outside the arrival hall, just walk straight and look for the signs) will take you to the Metro station "Dejvická" (30 minutes). Bus 119 ends here, so don't worry. Then follow the instructions provided on the map above. The bus comes quite frequently—see the time table. You have to buy a general public transport ticket and stamp it inside the bus. The tickets are sold at newspaper kiosks for 26 CZK (about 1 Euro).

Another option is the AE bus (Airport Express) which goes non-stop to the Dejvicka station (and then continues to the Hlavni nadrazi railway station). It is a bit faster but the frequency is lower—see the time table: airport to Dejvicka, Dejvicka to airport.

Fare is similar (30 CZK, about 1 Euro)), you have to pay in cache by the driver.
From anywhere else:

Use subway (Metro). Go to the line A and then to the Dejvická station (which is end-station of this line). Plans of Metro lines are available on stations and inside trains (above every door). Then follow the instructions provided on the map above.

Dinner venue

The dinner venue was the Piano Nobile restaurant located in Villa Richter nearby the Prague Castle. The restaurant address is

Stare zamecke schody (Old Castle Stairway) 6/251
Prague 1

It is very close to the Malostranska Metro station. See the online map of hotels or our dinner guide (PDF, 200 kB) for the map and instructions how to get there. The dinner starts at 19, enjoy it.

Accommodation

We offer some accommodation tips on a separate page. These hotels are close to the workshop venue (see the map of hotels) and provided fair services during our former events.
