Tomorrow's BUSINESS TUESDAY Topic: Film and Technology
Another meeting from the series of regular events named BUSINESS TUESDAY will take place in Prague tomorrow—meeting of company members as well as individual members of the TUESDAY Business Network association with experts on the topic discussed. This time the topic will be Film and Technology: Dawn of Hard Drives, Time of Optical Networks. Among other things, the guests will have an opportunity to get familiar with activities in the area of digital post-production support and see real practical examples. The partner of the meeting is the CESNET academic association, building and developing the CESNET2 national research and education network.
The event starts at 6 PM in the PwC BusinessCommunityCenter (Kateřinská 40, Prague 2). One of the speakers at this evening will be the director of the CESNET association, Jan Gruntorád. The CESNET association will be further represented by Michal Krsek; the remaining presenters will be the technical director of Universal Production Partners, Ivo Marák, Petr Holub and Jiří Matela from the Masaryk University in Brno, Felix Nevřela and Tomáš Srovnal from CINEPOST, and the program director of TUESDAY Business Network, Nikola Rafaj.

The CESNET association was founded by universities and the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. The association is currently financed mainly from the resources of the governmental Research and Development Board and funds of the association members. The association performs the research and development of information and communication technologies, building and developing the national gigabit optical network, CESNET2, designed for research and educational purposes. With its research activities and accomplishments, the CESNET association can represent the Czech Republic in the pan-European GÉANT2 network construction project, actively participating in the project implementation.
