- From the airport
-
Bus no. 119 (stop is in the middle of the car park outside the arrival hall, just walk straight and look for the signs) will take you to the Metro station "Dejvicka" (20 minutes). Bus 119 ends here, so don't worry.
Using taxi (available at the airport) you save 10 minutes and waste a lot of money. Taxi drivers in Prague have special (unofficial) prices for tourists.
- From anywhere else
-
Use subway. Every main train or bus station in Prague is directly connected to Metro. Go to the line A and then to station Dejvicka (which is end-station of this line). Plans of Metro lines are available on stations and inside trains (above every door).
Getting around
For travelling in Prague you can use fairly extensive system of public transport (bus, tram, Metro), which is the cheapest way of getting around. Tickets valid for 75 minutes (1.5 hour on weekends) for all transport means cost 26 CZK (approx USD 1.5). Tickets are available on stations and newspaper kiosks.
The easiest way to reach the city centre is using Metro. Stations "Staromestska", "Mustek" and "Muzeum" are situated just in the middle of the historical centre, all sights are in walking distance.
